Invisalign: it’s discreet, it’s effective—it’s amazing

Invisalign is an amazingly discreet and effective way of straightening your teeth

What you want is to know why Invisalign is the best orthodontic option for your oral health. However, if people weren’t worried about having metal train tracks between their lips, where did the demand for a discreet orthodontic treatment come from?

The point is, not only is Invisalign a discreet and user-friendly way to straighten your teeth. Invisalign is also an effective orthodontic treatment—it is in fact, the best of both worlds: you get the treatment you need and you get it discreetly.

But of course, it depends on who you ask.

If you ask a dentist at Dental Clinic @ World Tower, we’ll tell you how it has helped so many people straighten their teeth. At the end of the day, that is what’s important. Does this treatment work? Is it right for you? These are the questions we ask to make sure you get the best results possible.

Invisalign and Why it’s One Of The Best Orthodontic Treatments Available…

If you want your teeth straightened but don’t want metal wires across the front of your teeth, then you want Invisalign. While some dental practitioners, for their own reasons, have become disillusioned with the treatment, Dental Clinic @ World Tower in Sydney has perfected the craft to give you amazing results.

Because results are what matter: check out our smile gallery to see for yourself.

The benefits of Invisalign are:

  • No uncomfortable tightening appointments: just a quick examination and new aligners every two weeks.
  • You can remove them for functions and parties.
  • You can eat whatever you like—just take your braces out and munch away.
  • Maintain your oral hygiene: because Invisalign is removable you can take them out to brush and floss your teeth. This is a huge benefit over traditional braces.

How Does It Work?

Well, first we take x-rays to make sure that this treatment is right for you. To achieve this have a greater look at your teeth with digital x-rays. These are better than conventional x-rays because they are quicker to view and don’t suffer any printing problems.

If this treatment is suitable for you, then we move on to the next part: using advanced computer technology one of our dentists will scan and design your smile—and by this we mean what your smile should look like after treatment. While we are in this planning phase, a treatment plan is crafted to fit your lifestyle.

Depending on your treatment plan, you’ll visit us roughly every two weeks for new aligners. Each set of new aligners are designed to apply a small amount of pressure on your teeth. When you come in for your new aligners we will also check on your progress and make any adjustments if necessary.

What is the Treatment Time for Invisalign?

There is no set treatment time.

How long the Invisalign treatment takes depends entirely upon two things:

  1. The condition of your teeth
  2. How diligent you are with wearing them. If you don’t wear them often enough, the results will either be poor or take even longer than planned.

The Alternative To Braces That Won’t Interfere With Your Life

Invisalign is the most unobtrusive and effective way to straighten your teeth

Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth. It has been touted as the lifestyle friendly tooth straightening system and it is used by celebrities (like Katy Perry and one of the Kardashian sisters) to straighten and perfect the look of their teeth.

Invisalign allows those who are self-conscious about getting orthodontic work to relax knowing that their treatment will be unseen by the naked eye as their teeth become straighter.

Invisalign…at Dental Clinic @ World Tower

Invisalign is a series of clear aligners which gently pushes your teeth into the correct position; giving you a beautiful, functional and symmetrical smile. At Dental Clinic @ World Tower in Sydney we have perfected this craft to offer our patients the best possible results.

Our main priority when it comes to our patients is their oral health, so we will only recommend the treatment that works for your needs.

8 steps to straighter teeth…

There are 8 simple steps to get straighter, healthier teeth.

1) Consultation

This is where one of our dentists will examine the health of your teeth and see what grade of invisalign treatment is necessary and an estimation of treatment time.

2) Collecting information

Once step one has been completed the next thing to do is take x-rays and to collect other data in order to get a more detailed analyses of your teeth alignment.

After this there is an optional step: checking for any tooth decay. Ideally, this should be checked for and treated prior to invisalign treatment.

3) Taking the mould

This process can take up to 45 minutes and during this time moulds of your upper and lower arches will be taken.

4) Sending the moulds away

The data of your teeth alignment will be sent to the Invisalign Head Office in America. This will take around 10 days. Once they have scanned and digitally processed your moulds they will send all the information back to us.

5) Digital analysis

It will take around 2 weeks before your Invisalign treatment plan is finished. Once our specialist has finished the analysis you’ll be asked back for a detailed consultation. During this consultation we’ll calculate the movement of your teeth until we discover the best position for your teeth.

6) Invisalign mouthpieces

When you are happy with the treatment plan, it’ll be sent to America where the aligners will be constructed.

7) Treatment begins!

Once your Invisalign mouthpieces come from America we’ll start the Invisalign treatment

During your treatment there is the option for you to purchase at-home tooth whitening gels. These can be applied to the inside of your aligners so your teeth can be whitened and straightened at the same time.

8) The end!

At the end of your invisalign treatment you can enjoy the fantastic improvement in the alignment of your teeth.

At Dental Clinic @ World Tower in Sydney our number one priority is to look after you and your smile. Our dedicated team is here to help you and is eager to answer any questions you might have about our Invisalign treatment, or any of our other treatments.

Four Big Reasons Why Straightening Your Smile Should be Priority

Not only important for aesthetics, a straight smile offers a myriad of other benefits…

Healthy, straight and beautiful smiles create a large impact on how people see and respond to you, and also help to form that great first impression that lasts. At Dental Clinic @ World Tower in Sydney, we understand the importance of a healthy straight smile, and have listed the best reasons to straighten that smile.

Crooked, misaligned, jagged or bent teeth not only create an undesirable appearance, but they can also impede on your oral health! Discover why straightening your smile should be one of your top priorities this year with the following surprising information.

1. One of the most obvious reasons – appearance…

It is not just personal preference anymore, it is now proven science: straight, white teeth have been proven to be more attractive than crooked teeth, and those with straight teeth are more likely to be asked out on a second date! When teeth are crooked, they create an improper bite, which impacts the way your face is structured and can affect jaw joints and breathing patterns.

2. Crooked teeth impact your oral health…

Crooked, bent or jagged teeth create an uneven and more difficult cleaning surface, which can make oral care at home very difficult, and heightens your risk of developing dental decay. A straight smile evens out the surface of your smile, which allows for easier cleaning and more optimal oral health care. Gums are also easier to keep healthy which lowers your risk of periodontal (gum) disease!

3. Heightened self-esteem…

Let’s face it – appearance matters to us all, and those with crooked teeth often suffer low self-esteem, and hide their smiles away from photos and formal events. Your smile is a reflection of you, and can largely impact your life, from promotions at work to scoring that second date – a winning smile can help you achieve great things!

4. Clean, straight teeth help you live longer…

You read correctly – studies have shown that those who floss daily will live an extra seven years longer than those that do not! Poor oral health (which can be exacerbated by crooked or jagged teeth) has also been linked to other disease in the body, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and Alzheimer’s. Three important reasons why you should straighten your teeth

You could be suffering detrimental effects because of your crooked smile

It has been scientifically proven that the condition of your mouth can affect the condition of your entire body. With links discovered between poor oral health and diabetes, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, heart disease, stroke, respiratory issues and even cancer.

This is why at Dental Clinic at World Tower in Sydney, we know how imperative oral health is to you and your body. If you suffer from crooked teeth, we have compiled a short list of why you should consider perfecting your smile with our revolutionary product Invisalign.

1. Straight teeth enable easier cleaning

Because straight teeth are well aligned and every surface area is present and not hidden behind other teeth, cleaning of the mouth is much easier to perform and maintain. When you have crooked teeth, keeping decay at bay becomes much more difficult.

2. Holistic health is improved with straight teeth

As stated, poor oral health can be detrimental to your overall health. When cleaning your teeth is easier it is more likely that decay and periodontal disease, the main factors that cause health issues, will be kept at bay.

3. Straightening teeth is now even easier with Invisalign!

Now there is no excuse to suffer those crooked teeth anymore – Invisalign is virtually invisible, and is made up of a transparent tray aligner which is custom designed to fit your teeth to perfection. Straighten your teeth without anyone even knowing with the Invisalign system at our Sydney clinic!

Hollywood Smiles

For our first post, we have decided to explore the highly sought after “Hollywood smile”, and the celebrities who have used Invisalign to boost their smile, confidence and career.

Invisalign has rocked the world of celebrity beauty and cosmetic dentistry, as this treatment requires no down time or embarrassing years of “train track” smiles to place the high profile careers of celebrities in jeopardy. Treatment times for Invisalign generally tend to be less of that than other orthodontic treatments, and can easily be removed for photo-shoots, performances and red carpet appearances.

Movie stars and musicians such as:

  • Katherine Heigl
  • Justin Beiber
  • Cheryl Cole

All have experienced the revolutionary Invisalign difference.

Katherine Heigl began her Invisalign journey in 2007, and stated in a recent issue of InStyle that –

“…it’s awesome because every week I get to switch to a new retainer. Pretty much the perfect way to describe Invisalign is Netflix for your teeth.”

Cheryl Cole has also undergone Invisalign treatment, and has crafted a smile that so beautifully compliments her face that she has secured a contract with make up giant L’Oreal. Cole is rumoured to still wear her Invisalign retainers at night to maintain her beauty contract winning looks.

Teen heart-throb Justin Beiber, is also a popular supporter of Invisalign, and began treatment in 2009. Beiber has been seen showing off his invisible orthodontic work in online video posts, and has also worn his Invisalign treatment on the red carpet!

One of the key attributes that makes Invisalign so popular in the celebrity domain is the fact that they are removable, but more than that, this orthodontic treatment is more hygienic, comfortable and lifestyle friendly.
